Hello everyone I get to do another poll so here it is.
The question is this: If you lived in the middle ages or during feudalism, to which group would you be a part of? For example, typically there were these types of positions (like in the movies you know)
Royalty: The really rich and powerful people; kings, queens,
Clergy: All the religious jobs.
Nobility: Rich people but no big title like "king". Titles such as Dukes, Barons, Earls, Knights etc
Tradesman and Merchants: People who make things like weapons, musical instruments, wagons etc or sell things like rugs, clothes, brooms etc.
Castle Workers: Many titles fit here. Any job that would be found to keep a castle running: Cooks, butlers, maids etc
Entertainers: Anyone who entertains the royalty and nobility-singers, actors, musicians, clowns, dancers etc
Military: Any job in the military
Peasantry: Regular people without much land or anything else. They work in villages outside of the kingdoms. They are farmers, clothes makers, cooks, firewood gathers etc
You can say that you would be king but no one will believe you probably because you are not a king today, so why would you have been a king back then? Try to be realistic and think about what you can do now and then imagine where you would have been back then. Like if today you have been working in fast food for awhile then you might be a castle worker back then. Or, if you are working seriously with computers and programming then you might have been a tradesman back then.
You can change it a little bit because it was a different time and maybe you would have done better or worse back then without today's luxuries like electricity and credit cards.
I know this is a lot but I hope that everyone does this because it will be fun to see the results. Try to be honest so that we are not all "kings".
Even if you are not from European descendants you can still do this because it was about the same everywhere back then.
Thanks and have fun.
