Second contest! Everyone should be able to do this.

For our second contest, I thought that maybe we could not go so much with a fact-based contest, but instead maybe more of a creative, artsy-based contest. I said that this would not be a purely Nintendo, knowledge-based contest all the time, and that I would also have contests that non-Nintendo experts can enter in. So here is a chance for all members, especially those with some artistic abilities to get in on.

So here's the idea. As you can see from the pictures, this contest revolves around members making a banner that resembles the pictures you see. Members can make a banner with their favorite character, Nintendo, anime/manga, or anything else that they would like to see put into Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS. Even if you have no idea what this game is, you can still make a banner with any character you wish for submission to this contest.

If you don't know how, here's a couple of ways to do this.

1) Just find an image of the character off the internet and save it to your PC. Then, open this image up with Microsoft Paint or a similar application. Once you've done this, use the drawing and painting tools to write your slogan in the image. Make sure we can clearly read it. If you want, draw or color the background for some flavor. Once you're finished, simply save this document as is. Now, you should be able to pull up your artwork and upload it to the forum.

2) If you are familiar with the GIMP program, which is a free software, you can do this better. But you need to know how to use this program first, so keep that in mind.

3) If you don't know how to do any of these, then you can just write your slogan and the character you're submitting into the contest straight off this forum. But note that these type will probably not get 1st place, but it could get 2nd or 3rd.

We don't want any none-original work here, such as something you've taken off the Internet that someone else did. So we ask that you write your forum name in the bottom right corner so we know you didn't take your banner from somewhere else. Plus, we've probably seen all of them, so we will probably be able to tell if you're using someone else's or not.

This contest will be judged by me and IG-100, and we will decide who the winner is by originality. In the event of a tie, we will create a poll to see what the members say. We can't just use the poll as the judging tool because it is likely that each member will vote for themselves, thereby negating the poll. I am sure that you can all see how this could happen.  Also, Make sure to check out our examples that we made below so you can see how easy this is to do.



This contest will last longer than previous contests, and there will be a 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place. Obviously, the 1st placed person will get the biggest prize and the most F.E.C.. Remember, you can use anything from anywhere, as long as it abides by our rules, and submit it to this forum. And again, no matter how good or bad you are at art, just give it a shot. It is as much the art as it is the spirit of the contest that counts!
